Synevo is the provider of choice for diagnostic services in Bulgaria, offering more than 1,300 routine and advanced tests across all major clinical pathology areas. In 2022 Synevo Bulgaria operates a national network of 6 clinical laboratories and 35 blood drawing points, performing more than 1 million tests yearly.
Synevo Bulgaria seeks to appoint a motivated professional for the position of “Medical Director”.
*Part of Management committee, reporting directly to GM

Insures high quality of medical services provided;
Monitor and adapt internal medical quality processes; ensures good standard of practice (incl. ISO)
Overview the complaints management processes;
Review the KPI for laboratories; establish synergies;
Manage a team of laboratory doctors, lab managers, medical technicians, nurses, midwives, biologists, chemists;
Manage the Continuous Development of Medical staff; evaluate medical staff;
Interconnect lab operations with other departments to ensure high quality of services delivered to various types of customers;
Participates in international medical meetings within Medicover Group;
Propose and implement enlargement of list of medical services; communication with other labs form Medicover Network (Germany, Romania, Cyprus, etc);
Hire medical professionals;
Provides support to external medical professionals;
Create medical content/proofreading;
Create/approve promotional materials in close coordination with marketing department;
Participates in external events as medical subject matter expert from Synevo Bulgaria.
Degree in Medicine and/or Healthcare Management;
Specialization in Laboratory Medicine (Clinical, Microbiology, Pathology, Genetics, Immunology, etc) or experience working in these fields would be a plus but not mandatory;
Excellent understanding of Bulgarian Healthcare landscape;
Training and teaching skills; excellent communication skills;
Big picture thinking; team player;
Previous management (people and processes) experience would be an advantage;
Proven integrity and passion for excellence;
English, intermediate to professional level required.
